Sales and Marketing Internship

St. Louis | Hybrid

Part Time

We are seeking a Sales and Marketing Intern to join our team for the duration of the summer with the potential to extend into the Fall semester. As an intern, you will assist our marketing and sales teams with outreach efforts and the creation and execution of marketing campaigns. You will work closely with and receive mentorship from our Sales and Account Service teams.

Reports to Enrollment and Marketing Consultant. Internship oversight provided by Senior Vice President.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential leads and target accounts. Gather relevant information about prospects to support the sales team's outreach efforts.
  • Cold Calling: Reach out to potential clients via phone to introduce our products/services, engage in meaningful conversations, and generate interest. Meet and exceed weekly and monthly targets.
  • Booking Meetings: Schedule and coordinate meetings between prospects and the sales team. Ensure all appointments are confirmed and properly documented in the CRM system.
  • Supporting Marketing Operations: Assist the marketing team with the creation and execution of campaigns. Help with the development of marketing materials, social media content, and other promotional activities.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and interactions in the CRM system. Ensure data integrity and assist in providing reports for the sales team and leadership.
  • Collaborative Projects: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams on various projects, providing support as needed. Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute fresh ideas.
  • Provide additional administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a college or university with a minimum junior-level undergraduate status, pursuing a degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
  • Must be available to work 20 hours per week, with at least two days in-office.
  • Team player with the ability to take on multiple projects and work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Skilled in navigating and posting content on various social media platforms.
  • Skilled in online research.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience making phone calls in a sales, marketing or customer service environment preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal capabilities
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work well independently; self-motivated.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient working on a computer with a macOS operating system.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to commute to St. Louis office at least two times per week.
