Medical Associates of NWA is Hiring an Advanced Practice Provider APRN OR Physician Assistant PA-C (FDC) Near Fayetteville, AR

Overview

Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic (FDC) is looking for an experienced, motivated, and teachable APRN to support a well-established, collaborative Pulmonary Critical Care service. The role of the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) reports to the Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic Director. In this role, you will work alongside experienced Intensivists in assessing, diagnosing, and treating critically ill patients at Washington Regional Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Rounding on critically ill patients, admissions, assessing patients as part of a Code Blue team, and participation in the multidisciplinary care and management of adult medical, neuro., and CV ICU patients.
  • The APP’s practice incorporates both independent decision-making abilities as well as collaboration with the Intensivist(s) to provide expert care.
  • Involvement in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform select procedures based on need and experience and training of the provider.

Hospital Rotation and Coverage

  • This role may be unit, program, or service based.
  • Schedule: Full time hospital position, dayshift, weekdays, and weekends (11-hour shift).
  • Compensation: Education and experience may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.

Qualifications

  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure in good standing
  • Certification: For APRN - must have Acute Care Certification or be eligible for national certification; Must be BLS and ACLS certified
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in previous clinical role (can include RN experience); Strongly prefer prior ICU experience. Demonstrated clinical competency, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have a strong desire to care for medically complex patients as well as an active desire to learn.
