We are a medical billing agency in Orlando seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist. A medical billing specialist would handle all aspects of the healthcare revenue cycle - including posting charges, posting payments, following up on unpaid claims and processing patient statements. Occasional insurance verifications may also be required. At least 3 years of previous billing experience or work in a healthcare office is required. We work in a team environment to service our clients and give the best customer service possible.

Primary Duties Include:

• Review accuracy of billing charges and make corrections as needed
• Manually key charges as needed
• Respond to insurance claim rejections
• Posting ERAs both electronically and manually
• Following up on unpaid claims - making phone calls and using portals
• Prepare appeals to insurance companies as needed
• Reviewing patient statements for accuracy
• Communicating with clients about patient accounts

Candidate Must Have:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Working knowledge of CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and modifiers
• Experience billing for commercial insurance plans, Medicare and Medicaid
• Understanding of medical terminology as it relates to insurance and benefits
• Typing skills - must be able to type at least 50 WPM
• Proficiency on 10-key
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous therapy billing experience helpful but not required
• Must be able to work well in a team and contribute towards a positive office atmosphere

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
