Position Summary:

Responsible for the day to day work progress of assigned area. Performs procedures as requested using highly sophisticated equipment.

Qualifications:

A. Education:

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) and certified by the state of Texas, Certified Medical Technologist (CMT). Specialty registry preferred.

B. Training and Experience:

One year experience as a specialty technologist in a hospital environment is required. Two or more years are preferred. Supervisory education and/or experience are desirable. Demonstrated technical, verbal and teamwork skills required. Current BLS certification through American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.

C. Job Knowledge:

Knowledge of principles and practices of radiologic sciences, quality improvement, communication and analytical skills required. This position requires initiative, independent judgment and ability to work closely with radiologists, technical staff and department management.
