Job Summary and Qualifications

• The Transplant Director is responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of care provided to the transplant patients.
• The Director provides programmatic oversight for the transplant program, both front and back office staff, to ensure patient safety, compliance, appropriate delivery of care and throughput for solid organ transplant services.
• Meets organizational growth metrics and drives coordination and alignment of transplant programs across multiple facilities.
• Allocates financial, physical and human resources to ensure operations are effective and efficient.
• Act as partner to AVP and Senior Leadership in strategic discussions related to solid organ transplant services.
• Drives implementation of strategic initiatives related to transplant services particularly around programmatic expansion and physician alignment and integration.
• Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with physicians, departments, community organizations, and other healthcare facilities to gather and exchange information, develop and implement solutions to problems, and ensure program growth.
• Provides leadership and demonstrates responsibility and accountability for the delivery of safe, quality, transplant care for assigned programs on a 24- hour basis.
• Ensures department's standard of practice, policies and procedures meet compliance with UNOS, OPTN, TJC, and CMS.
• Operates across organizational boundaries and recognizes implications of actions and plans.
• Performs intervention based on critical thinking and technical skills assimilated from assessment, reports, and information communicated by other health care providers to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Coordinates onsite surveys as needed.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s in Nursing degree required.
• Minimum 5 years in the field of transplant.

LICENSURE/ CERTIFICATIONS:

• Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
