Lean Manufacturing Specialist
JOB PURPOSE
This position supports the plant through the identification and implementation of continuous improvement Systems that positively impact the overall efficiency and profitability of the operations. The role requires the engineer to build a deep understanding of the operation, which includes the technical aspects of the process, the Voice of the Customer, and the Voice of the Business and will combine that knowledge to make sound decisions. The Lean Manufacturing Specialist will collaborate with all functional departments to help create more value for our customers.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.

5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Proficient in MS Office Suite

Lean Manufacturing Specialist

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead projects related to continuous improvement opportunities.
- Lead/support kaizen events.
- Coach/train on Lean tools and techniques.
- Lead the deployment of our Medical Device Components’ Lean Management System:
- 5S – support sustainment of existing program and incorporate into Daily Management System
- Standard work - Collect data and create standards
- Daily Management – Help deploy beginning phases and continue to mature program with remaining metrics
- Kaizen - Coach/guide through 5-minute kaizens & structured A3 problem-solving
- Deploy/Utilize remaining subsystems as applicable to solve systemic problems
