Medical Preparatory Academy of Rhode Island (MedPrep) JOB TITLE: School Director (Instructional Leader) Location: Medical Preparatory Academy of Rhode Island This is a new charter school located in Pawtucket, RI opening in September 2025 JOB DESCRIPTION Medical Preparatory Academy of Rhode Island seeks an exceptional founding School Director who is a strong academic and operational leader with a specific expertise in curriculum, instruction, and assessment with a specific focus on medical sciences. This school will serve students in the middle and high school grades and will open in September 2025. This leader will be responsible for building a positive learning environment, ensuring academic excellence and operations management. The founding School Director is responsible for building and leading the total school program which focuses on student centered learning; equity; achievement; building a positive school climate that supports the whole student; leveraging research and data to drive initiatives and instruction; and building a high-performing staff and leadership team to achieve the school’s vision, mission and goals. The School Director will collaborate with parents, community members, consultants, as well as other internal/external stakeholders to implement educational programs, capital improvements, systems reform, tools, and other resources to accelerate student achievement. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: The School Director will report to the Executive Director. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: The School Director will plan, coordinate, organize, supervise and evaluate the work of the instructional, professional and administrative assistant staff. EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in educational administration/leadership and; Minimum of five (5) years in teaching experience and; Must have had experience in an educational leadership position, such as may have been gained through academic coaching, or as a certified administrator. Salary : $115,000 - $125,000
