- Acute Response: Perform emergency interventions, maintain central and peripheral lines, and administer medications and blood products.
- Professional Documentation: Ensure complete and accurate documentation of patient care according to facility/unit policies.
- Patient Support: Offer psychological support, initiate patient education during discharge, and promote professionalism and excellent customer service.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent experience in an emergency department or major trauma center, with no more than a six-month gap working in that setting.
- Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred; Master's Degree in Nursing or related field highly preferred.
- Licensing: Current unrestricted RN license from any state (United States), and a current CPR/BLS certificate accredited by the American Heart Association.
- Certifications: Current ACLS certificate accredited by the American Heart Association. Certification of Emergency Nursing (CEN) through BCEN preferred. Nurses with CCRN certification and ED experience will also be considered.
