Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Surgical Scheduler- Ambulatory.

This is a TEMPORARY/ POSSIBLE PERMANENT position requiring availability between the hours of 7:00 AM- 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, located in Virginia, VA (23456).
Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life of a/an Surgical Scheduler- Ambulatory:
As a Surgical Scheduler, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care while abiding by all HIPAA laws and regulations in an outpatient clinic setting. Your role is instrumental in processing patients' coverage/ insurance benefits. You will give front desk support, verify insurance, and pre-authorization.
You will then call the patients to notify them of their co-payment and deductible so they have it ready on the day of their surgery.
You must have excellent customer service, a clear, friendly, and respectful voice. Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. This position is in Virginia Beach, VA.
Requirements for the Surgical Surgery- Ambulatory:

• Required: At least 1 year experience as a Surgical Scheduler in an outpatient setting.
• Required: Excellent customer service is a must.
• Required: Insurance background.
• Required: Knowledge with Medical Terminology
• Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
• Required: Must be reliable and a quick learner and can multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment
• Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications for the Surgical Scheduler- Ambulatory:

• Preferred: Outpatient surgery experience.
