The Medina County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to help provide health care to inmates. The LPN will be expected to treat minor illnesses and injuries, administer medications and conduct basic annual physicals. The ideal candidate for this position has experience in corrections, and will keep accurate records of inmate progress and responses to treatment. This position offers exceptional growth opportunities, and is a great way to give back to the community. This position will be 16 hours/week, day shift, with every other weekend commitment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to patients.
• Administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Prepare patients for examination, treatment, and surgery.
• Relocate patients or move them from one bed to another.
• Monitor patients vital signs and other clinical indicators, such as skin color, pulse, breathing rate, and level of consciousness.
• Record patient's condition under physician orders.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks in the patient care area.

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
