Job SummaryMedinah Country Club is seeking a creative, experienced Communications Specialist to join our Communications team that will be responsible for developing both digital and print content across a variety of communication projects (i.e., monthly/weekly newsletters, brochures, logos, posters, flyers, etc.) as well as short- and long-form videos for the club. The Communications Specialist will assist the Director of Communications in developing, managing and publishing content across the club’s communication channels, including the club’s website, social media channels, and internal communication platforms, as well as collaborating with Club departments to ensure all written and visual communication from the Club to its membership, employees and community align with the Medinah brand and established brand guidelines.
Job Responsibilities
- Create, design and produce both digital and print design projects, including brochures, booklets, menus, newsletters, posters, logos, flyers, etc.
- Develop marketing and promotional materials for Club events.
- Support management and content development for the Club’s monthly member newsletter and weekly e-newsletter.
- Develop, edit and execute short- and long-form videos for both the club’s internal and external channels, transforming raw clips and video footage into high-quality finished videos that can be used to inform, engage and inspire the club’s audiences.
- Support content planning, development and management of the club’s website, app and social media channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter/X.
- Work closely with the Director of Communications to ensure all print and digital communication projects, both external- and member-facing, are timely, accurate and presented in accordance with the club’s brand guidelines.
- Maintain brand guidelines and consistency across digital, social media, email and print publication channels.
- Assist with the creation of materials for club meetings (i.e., Employee All Hands, Committee meetings, etc.).
- Provide support to members and staff for print production needs.
- Build and manage third-party contractor and vendor partnerships related to social media, website and app, and print.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Communications, GM/COO and Board of Directors.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years related experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
- Video and video editing experience required.
- Social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X, Vimeo) experience required.
- Experience in website/app maintenance and design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience with CMS/HTML/CSS.
- Strong professional and interpersonal skills, demonstrating ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and prioritize daily workload, as needed.
- Ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail are critical.
- High level of creativity and design capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all staff teams.
- Experience working in a country club environment a plus.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- All candidates must provide samples of previous work in the form of an online portfolio.
