Responsibilities:

• Complete Value-Based Reimbursement processes accurately and in accordance with industry best practices and GHA standards.
• Analyze and resolve assigned claims promptly, ensuring timely resolution.
• Liaise with carriers, physician offices, patients, and management to resolve issues and ensure claims status updates.
• Accurately verify insurance benefits related to claims and ensure timely updates.
• Process necessary adjustments following department protocols.
• Post payments accurately and efficiently.
• Handle claim appeals as required, ensuring proper documentation and submission.
• Obtain essential medical records and documents from relevant sources for claims payment.

Overview:

In this role, you'll employ various methods for accounts receivable (AR), including analyzing AR reports and collections reports to address aging categories and tickler items. Each day presents a unique focus, such as high-dollar claims on Mondays and adjustment codes on Tuesdays. The ability to sort and filter data in Excel is essential, along with proficiency in identifying and reporting trends to leadership.

Must-Have Skills/Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in medical collections.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING commercial payers such as UHC, Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, and PCHS.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with cardiovascular specialty.
