JOB SUMMARY

Assist the EHS Manager by developing, implementing and coordinating environmental, health and safety programs, monitor compliance with regulations, conduct occupational safety training, equipment inspections, safety process assessments and incident investigations

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct Job Safety Analysis (line, department and task specific)

Assist with conducting and developing EHS training (new hire orientation, monthly safety training and Safety Team training)

Support monthly Safety Team meetings ( track closure of items, develop activities)

Assist with incident investigations, identification of root cause, and closure of Industry Safe / Vector incidents

Assist with audit facilitation, PPE assessments and records review ( hazardous waste manifest and tracking)

Support and interact with all department to assist with EHS concerns

Assist with scheduling and managing safety vendors and safety activities ( shoe truck, hearing truck, health fair, scenarios,

Golden Cone, EAP drills, fire extinguisher training etc.)

Periodic review and update of first aid rooms. Ensure supplies and information are up-to-date.

Assist with Behavior Base Safety tracking of actions and follow-up

Help set-up and deliver safety campaigns (hand / eye demonstration etc.)

Conduct Lockout / tagout assessment support, procedure support and issuing of locks for new hires

Complete daily Gemba walks, engage team members, assist with safe work methods and promote a zero incident culture

Assist with maintaining safety program records, document review and control

Help facilitate industrial hygiene monitoring (noise maps, monitoring and testing)

Safety Data Sheet (SDS) review, updates and tracking

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

High school diploma

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations

Able to utilize an analytical approach to help solve complex issues

Work on site- No hybrid work

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

Requires standing, walking, carrying. stooping and kneeling and potential light physical work

Work schedule flexibility : Monday, Wednesday, Friday (8-4 : 30 PM) and Tuesday, Thursday (12-8 : 30 PM). Must have the flexibility to

Preferred Jobs Requirements

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial, manufacturing or plant facility. Completion of OSHA 30 hour training or similar EHS training preferred, but not required

Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
