This leader will partner with Marketing, Sales Operations and Senior Leadership to drive key strategic initiatives to improve sales effectiveness and efficiency, improving the lives of patients in the markets we serve. You will create performance initiatives to optimize the success and efficiency of your sales team, meeting the regions business objectives across all designated specialities. You will create dashboards with actionable metrics that drive field sales strategy, while providing critical visibility to the organization. You will focus on providing excellent leadership that develops strong team morale, while understanding the importance of guiding individual team members to excel in their own strengths to maximize their impact in their territories. Together with your team, you will do whatever it takes to support the acquisition and retention of customers.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**

**People Leadership:** Support the recruitment, training and ongoing development of an incredible sales team through individual and team coaching. This includes weekly 1:1 meetings, leveraging CRM sales data to share best practices across sales representatives. This leader will be passionate about developing team members to achieve consistent growth within individual territories through cultivating long-standing relationships with customers.

**Sales Performance:** Collaborating with Sales Operations to deliver strong territory performance through identifying target customers, categories, and manufacturer partnerships, and determining field sales strategy.

**Grow and Track Revenue:** Identify and establish areas of growth and additional revenue opportunities while nurturing continuous growth in existing opportunities. Measure the performance of the field sales representatives. Partner with Sales Operations to continuously refine and improve the sales forecast, and deliver on these results.

**Analytics:** Leverage CRM pipeline tools and tracking systems that enable and drive the sales team to increase daily, monthly, and annual revenue targets.

**Motivate Performance:** Motivate and appropriately incentivize your sales team to continuously build and maintain a premium presence with customers, while achieving and exceeding revenue targets.

**Customer Relationship Management:** Be a key contributor in managing sales team performance in Salesforce. Analyze successful outcomes in individual territories resulting from specific sale activities to inspire sharing best practices across the team.

**Sales Collateral:** Leverage sales collateral and branded tools to continuously equip team members with current features, service benefits, and competitive based analysis for the acquisition of new customers .

**Culture & Employee Recognition:** Inspire excellent sales performance, engagement and retention of high performing employees through a building a culture of inclusion and teamwork, delivering fair and equitable rewards, recognition, and development opportunities.

**REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS**

* 6 years of progressive career experience with at least 3 years in field sales roles in the pharmaceutical industry. 2 years of progressive management experience required.

* Lead utilizing Sales dashboards and key metrics to track performance of field representatives and inform strategy.

* Experience executing sales initiatives, driving successful service delivery and operational outcomes through the performance of team members.

* Excellent ability to build trust and rapport quickly with customers and stakeholders, internally and externally.

* Demonstrated ability to approach business opportunities with a growth mindset and willingness to roll up sleeves to directly solve challenging problems

* Strong presentation skills to clinical audiences, demonstrating excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

* Experience hiring, training and developing team members. Results and data driven leadership style with passion for building team culture and morale.

* Experience developing sales training programs that address common objections, industry trends, and the development needs of the sales team.

* Undergraduate degree is required. Ideally MBA to support advanced analytics and forecasting/planning.

* Must have valid US issued Driver's License and reliable transportation to travel to assigned regional locations
