Duties:
- Perform basic clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medications
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for medical tests and procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Handle patient inquiries and provide appropriate information and education
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety guidelines
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in performing vital signs measurements accurately
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Ability to administer medications following established protocols
- Excellent patient care skills, including empathy, active listening, and effective communication
- Knowledge of medical coding practices and electronic health record system
