The HIT department is seeking a Business Analyst (BA) to be an entry/mid-level professional who can partner effectively with multiple levels of the organization, own and build Business Requirement Documents/User Stories, perform Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance (UA) Testing, proactively identify and resolve problems, and work with Project Managers and other Business Analysts to secure HIT and Project Stakeholder acceptance of all requirements and documentation on all assigned projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Creates and owns all requirements artifacts in the project lifecycle: Scope of Work (SOW), Business Requirement Document (BRD) or User Stories, Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance (UA) test plans, and Change Backlogs.
2. Documents clear and concise meeting minutes for all project meetings, supports project manager(s) in project meetings, works with Sr. BA to prepare materials for presentations, user trainings, and user demos.
3. Works with Sr. BA to ensure the products being developed comply with the needs of the customers.
4. Provides frequent and clear communication to project managers and department leadership team on status of requirements, testing results, identified risks, potential scope creep, and changing requirements.
5. Performs comprehensive QA testing, Regression Testing, and UAT to fulfill complete test plans with the guidance of Sr. BA for all projects prior to production release.
6. Creates user documentation such as User Guides, Job Aids, Workflow Diagrams, Announcement Releases, and training materials.
7. Provides technical and business specifications to Sr. Business Analyst for approval before use as internal and external Compliance audit materials.
8. Manage requirements and ensure they are up to date and accurate in all project documentation.
9. Supervise requirements traceability information and record requirements status throughout the project.
Qualifications:
· High School graduate or GED equivalent
· Understanding of Managed Healthcare business operations
· EZ-CAP® experience is a plus
· 1 years of related experience as Business Analyst that includes soliciting and building business requirements, creating test plans, performing QA and UA testing, creating user documentation, and/or maintaining applications or using applications in a business setting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
· SQL query skills (MS SQL) is a plus
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
· Understanding of impact and root cause analysis
· Experience with project management software
· EDI knowledge is a plus
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks
