MedQuest College is Hiring an Educational Development/Compliance Coordinator Near Louisville, KY

Job summary

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, the Educational Development/Compliance Coordinator provides support for accreditation needs, faculty training, and online education.

This role articulates the College’s vision of academic distinction, instructional excellence, student retention, and student satisfaction.

This position will be based in the Louisville, KY campus but will have regular travel expectations to support the needs of the Lexington, KY, campus as well.

Summary of essential job functions and responsibilities:

  • Works with Executive Director to assure all accreditation, State, and Federal criterion concerning academics, and academic compliance initiatives are met.
  • Drives the completion of the College’s program effectiveness plans. Works alongside Program Directors to provide data and support for this annual initiative.
  • Tracks participation in the College’s program for professional growth and development, in-service programs, faculty meetings and program director meetings.
  • Provides documented evidence of individualized professional growth and development for the Academic Department.
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of accurate and complete academic files for faculty in accordance with the Accrediting Council criteria.
  • Performs regular course observations (both residential and online) and reports evaluation results to the appropriate individuals for further review.
  • Develops policies and procedures for college wide- initiatives as needed.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly both internally and publicly.
  • Participate in professional development activities that are aligned with college, departmental, and individual goals.
  • Provide backup support to the Registrar/Bursar as needed.
  • Comply with all policies, operating procedures, legal requirements, and verbal and written directives.
  • Learn and use the LMS and other electronic systems that house student data.
  • Become familiar with academic policies in the catalog and Student Handbook.
  • Abide by FERPA policies as it relates to students’ education records.
  • Foster collaborative partnerships between campus director, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Maintain accurate data reports for informed decision-making.
  • Remain abreast of national trends and best practices related to education.
  • Attend staff meetings at the departmental and division level.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary of qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relatable field is required. Will consider relevant job experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational ability, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to respond effectively to the needs of a diverse and demanding student and faculty population.
  • Must be a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented, and culturally diverse environment.
  • Must be perceptive and patient, with strong people skills and a willingness to assist others.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, implement and facilitate workshops, programs, and informational presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport in developing meaningful relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to demonstrate ownership, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Ability to focus on results and to commit to excellence.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:

  • May be susceptible to eyestrain, back discomfort, and hand/wrist problems due to long periods working on a computer.
  • Occasional stress may occur from volume and deadlines.
  • Demands normal manual dexterity and visual and auditory acuity.
  • Must be mobile throughout the campus.
  • May be some walking, standing, bending, or carrying light items.
