Unit Highlights

Nurses on Unit 2F – Stroke Medical-Surgery are skilled in delivering quality and compassionate care to high-acuity medical surgical patients. Our team is also specialized in caring the stroke and neuro-surgical patients. Nurses on the unit are also uniquely trained to care for ventilated patients. 
This 30-bed unit is a great place to become NIH Stroke Scale Certified (NIHSS) and grow professionally. The staff and nurses on 2F are highly skilled, motivated, and committed to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
