This RN position is for Full Time Nights on the Neuro Telemetry unit at MedStar Franklin Square Medical CenterUnit Highlights:Tower 5 is a Neurological-Telemetry/ Medical-Surgical Unit
48-Bed all private rooms including 20 telemetry beds
Types of neurological patients: stroke, seizure, brain mass, neuro-surg and demyelinating diseases
Types of med- surg patients focus is respiratory but service the general med-surg population
Straight shifts (either day shift or night shift positions) with three 12-hour shifts and every 3rd weekend schedule

Minimum Qualifications
License: RN-Registered Nurse – State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required upon hire
Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing required; bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing preferred. Bachelor’s degree in nursing enrollment required within 6 months of start date and completion within 3 years.
Experience: 1 year RN experience.
Certification/Registration: CPR certification; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
