Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Instructor to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and training in a specific field. This is a rewarding opportunity to share your expertise and make a positive impact on the development of students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students
- Create and implement instructional materials, including presentations, handouts, and assessments
- Review and provide feedback on student documentation and assignments
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Utilize technology, such as Blackboard, to enhance the learning experience
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in the field of instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and improve instructional methods
- Provide guidance and support to students in their academic journey
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in the specific field of instruction (infection control, sterile processing, medical instruments, autoclave)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using learning technologies and tools.
- Ability to effectively review documentation and provide constructive feedback
- Experience in patient care or clinical research is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students
- Adaptability to different learning styles and needs of students
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
This position is a paid opportunity with career advancement to become a Certified College Instructor by way of work experience. (1099 - Contract Position) 8-10 weeks per class session when classes are available.
