Medtronic walks the walk, creating an inclusive culture where you can thrive. This role will be based out of Boulder, CO. A Day in the LifeWe are looking for a Sr R&D Engineer who will take initiative in continued product focused excellence for oximetry products. ·You will provide a deep understanding of oximetry measuring systems from foundational technical knowledge to product specific expertise. ·You will take initiative in design and development, design change and test method development to ensure continued innovation, safety, and efficacy of patient monitoring products.·You will interpret specifications, international standards, and regulatory requirements for all aspects of products. ·You will communicate effectively with cross-functional partners to manage products over the entirety of the product lifecycle spanning from early need identification to proactive system-level planning for continued state-of-the-art compliance. ·You will document patient monitoring product development activities to support design traceability.·You will serve as a point person from R&D in field and product launch activities to drive continued customer centric engagement and collection of product needs for future development activities.·You will clearly communicate product needs and priorities with cross functional partners to deliver clinically meaningful products to the market. Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 4 years of experience or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

·General knowledge of related principals including electromechanical, tissue optics, physiological signals, fluid dynamics etc.

·Thorough understanding and wide application of technical principals, theories and concepts in patient monitoring, wearable monitors, etc.

·Experienced in design for six sigma or similar engineering practices.

·Ability to apply engineering analysis techniques and tools (Solidworks, Matlab, Minitab, Excel, etc.)

·Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering plus 8 years of experience or 6 years’ experience with an advanced degree
