A Day in the Life
As a System Engineer II, you will be responsible for the design, post-market support and maintenance of Neuromodulation and Pelvic health products. You will work closely with clinicians, patients and other engineering functions to ensure optimal device performance, reliability, and security of our therapy system environment. Your role involves designing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems while contributing to the continuous improvement of our current product offering.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design and Implementation:
  • Design, configure, and deploy systems comprising implantable stimulators, leads, catheters and various external programmers.
System Maintenance and Support:
  • Monitor and investigate post market product performance issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues related to hardware, software, system behaviors.
  • Perform regular product testing ( characterization, verification, etc..)
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Prepare and present reports on system performance, incidents, and improvements.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support design projects and initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other departments as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for system optimization and recommend improvements.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance system capabilities and performance.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a systems engineering or related role.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$83,200.00 - $124,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
