Hydrogen Group is Hiring a Quality Control Technician II - Biotech Near Minnetonka, MN

Location: Minnetonka, MN (fully onsite)

Schedule: Standard Office Hours

Duration: 6-Month Contract

Pay rate: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour


The Quality Control Technician II is responsible for independently reviewing materials and documentation from internal and external sources to determine their acceptability. This role supports Quality Engineers by gathering and analyzing data and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).


Responsibilities:

  • Work in a laboratory environment, maintaining cleanliness and proper handling of materials.
  • Perform lot release testing, document results, and conduct basic statistical analyses.
  • Inspect incoming materials for conformity to specifications and reject non-compliant items.
  • Provide secondary review of work completed by other technicians.
  • Assemble sample products for testing and document inspection results.
  • Monitor incoming product quality and report to Quality Engineering or Management.
  • Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment.
  • Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Deviation Reports.
  • Contribute to Quality System Improvements via the CAPA process.
  • Suggest and propose procedure modifications for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineers on lab procedure development.
  • Conduct training exercises in areas of expertise.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of a high school education.
  • Preferred: Two years of vocational technical training or five years of relevant experience.
  • Five years of experience in quality control within ISO and GMP systems.

Skills:

  • Problem-solving skills with sound judgment.
  • Excellent communication for intra- and inter-organizational cooperation.
  • Ability to interface with technical services, R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Minitab, and other data analysis software.
  • Knowledge of GXP, 21CFR, ISO, QSR, and relevant regulations and standards.
  • Strong character, self-confidence, and integrity focused on patient safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Technical background with the ability to educate stakeholders on quality assurance principles.
  • Ability to manage light mechanical duties and handle stress from changing priorities.
