Job Title: CNC Machinist - automotive - production machining

We are searching for a CNC machinist, anyone from operating capability to setup technicians, and also CNC programming experience is a bonus.

Job Summary: In this position you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications. You will interpret technical drawings, adjust machine settings, and ensure that finished products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Set up CNC machines by installing and aligning fixtures, tools, and materials.
  2. Load materials into the machine and ensure proper positioning.
  3. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations.
  4. Program CNC machines using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software or adjust machine controls manually.
  5. Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary.
  6. Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  7. Troubleshoot issues with machines, tools, or materials and perform routine maintenance as needed.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  9. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
  10. Document production activities, including machine settings, tool changes, and inspection results.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or related field preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a CNC machinist or similar role.
  3. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
  4. Strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes.
  5. Familiarity with CAM software and G-code programming.
  6. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments and perform quality inspections.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Physical stamina and dexterity to operate machinery and lift heavy materials.
  9. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
  10. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
