Pay Range: $18.00-$22.00/hr
Position Overview:
Receive, ship, stock, order, and count inventory items while monitoring quality and completing all appropriate paperwork. May provide work direction to other warehouse associates but does not supervise. This associate is responsible for overseeing the safe movement of materials and finished components in an efficient manner. Operates forklift truck with foot and hand controls for various aspects of job.
Essential Job Duties:

• Assists direct supervisor in maintaining an organized work environment.
• May provide work direction for other warehouse associates maintaining an even and constant workflow.
• Ability to work in multiple work environments with extensive knowledge of warehoused products and materials.
• Count and record receipt of materials.
• Stock all materials received in appropriate bins or storage locations. Unload delivery vehicles and stage product in the yard or specified storage area.
• Assists inventory control in counting and organizing warehouse materials.
• Uses computerized inventory system to enter data regarding received material Cross-trained in other areas as required.
• Generate a list of materials to be replenished/stocked for daily loading and delivery
• Pull all orders from the yard and place in designated area for driver pickup.
• Operate forklift with foot and hand controls.
• Work with traffic department to determine what trailers to use and the number of trucks needed
• Notify the supervisor of any damaged product.
• Complete all paperwork involved in the shipment of components on a daily basis.
• Follow safety procedures as outlined by company safety program,
• Keep staging area clean and organized.
• Responsible for banding of lumber and/or finished product.
• Maintain a current forklift operator license.
• Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.
• Complies with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Minimum education required-High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum experience required-1-year or more in building materials industry. 1 months experience in warehousing and handling products using computerized inventory systems.
• Special skills required-Computerized inventory control systems.
• Other-Basic math skills, ability to identify and measure commodities and specialty building products
• Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods of time, exposure to extreme temperatures, bending or stooping, regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently 100 pounds or more.
