Hiring for a brand-new exclusive Analytical Associate Scientist position with our top Biotech client in Pittsburgh, PA.

The ideal candidate should have a solid background in biochemistry or a related field, combined with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth within our organization.

This position includes responsibilities for conducting research, analyzing data, and providing technical insights, while working closely with other team members on various projects. The ideal candidate will leverage demonstrated expertise in a range of chromatographic separations including reverse phase (RP-HPLC), size-exclusion (SEC), field flow fractionation (FFF) utilizing detection techniques such as ultraviolet absorbance (UV), refractive index (RI), multi angle light scattering (MALS), or mass spectrometry (MS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently design, execute and analyze analytical characterization assays to support research projects.
  • Use qualitative and/or quantitative screening assays to test samples for their activity and stability in study-relevant reaction conditions.
  • Leverage a variety of analytical instrumentation and techniques to effectively characterize complex products.
  • Utilize software and statistical tools to interpret, analyze, and present experimental data, ensuring high levels of accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain meticulous records of experimental protocols, data, and findings in laboratory notebooks and databases.
  • Leverage scientific publications and emerging methodologies to inform and enhance the development of experimental protocols for biologics characterization.
