**Retail Sales Associate**

Our business is currently looking for a **30 hour per week sales associate** to be an integral part of our Montclair store, opening this month (August). You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue. **You must be available to work full days during the weekdays and/or weekends**.This is a YEAR ROUND position and for someone who is available to work close to or at full time hours.

Dry Goods Refillery is a zero waste, plastic and package free grocery opening in Montclair in August 2021. We have a team of young, motivated, friendly employees who are just as eager about helping our customers navigate our store, as they are about helping the planet. We're a small, but promising company who is opening this second location after just two years in our initial Maplewood shop.

In our store customers are encouraged to bring their own containers and are able to take as much or as little of each product as they wish. Our goals are to work with sustainable and local companies whenever possible, minimizing our plastic waste and carbon footprint, and to educate our customers about how to make small daily changes to help the greater good when it comes to sustainability and unnecessary trash.

Someone who enjoys the following:

* Socially interacting with customers and identifying their purchasing needs

* Explaining our products and guiding customers through the refill process

* Someone who is comfortable re-stocking and managing inventory on the sales floor

* Willing and able to keep the sales floor clean, organized and merchandised properly throughout the day

* Excited to take on more responsibilities (register, buying, etc.) as you grow in the role

Qualifications:

* MUST be available to work full days (10-5pm) during multiple week days and/or weekends, for a total of approximately 30 hours per week.

* Previous experience with customer facing jobs in sales, customer service, and/or retail.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

* Ability to build rapport with customers in a friendly, approachable way

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to learn quickly on the job and take on additional responsibilities within the store.

* Ability to lift/carry up 25lb on a regular basis up and down stairs, occasionally 50lb or more

* Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to help create regular content is a plus
