Meigs County Board of Education is located in Decatur, TN. There are four schools wihtin the Meigs County Schools (MCS) school system. We have two elementary schools: Meigs North Elementary (PK-5) & Meigs South Elementary (PK-5), Meigs Middle School (6-8), and Meigs County High School (9-12). MCS provides an innovative, engaging, and personalized learning environment for students in grades PK-12 with the goal to develop well-rounded students that possess a sound basic education, a feeling of self-worth, and a formula for success that will produce morally strong, productive, citizens for our ever-changing society.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has a background in education, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create a positive learning environment for students. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing lesson plans, providing instruction, assessing student progress, and communicating with parents and administrators. We are looking for an individual who is committed to helping our students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents and administrators.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices in education.
• Collaborate with other teachers to develop curriculum.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
