Position Summary:

The Sr. Marine/Cruise Lines Service Manager – Florida is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing service operations for our cruise line clients in the Southeast region. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage our own MEIKO service personnel (3 Marine Service Engineers) and some 3rd party service providers which support our project work.

The role involves various responsibilities, including managing dry dock projects, equipment installations, preventive maintenance schedules, local inventory management, expediting equipment repairs, ensuring invoice accuracy, and overall customer satisfaction. Position reports to management at Nashville, TN headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and motivate our experienced marine service engineers for our cruise line customers.

2. Manage dry dock projects and equipment installations, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality and safety standards.

3. Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

4. Oversee small local inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.

5. Organize and expedite equipment repairs, collaborating with internal team and external vendors as needed.

6. Ensure accuracy of invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies promptly.

7. Collaborate with headquarters and customers to achieve a synergistic relationship and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

8. Conduct site visits and perform equipment assessments as necessary, maintaining a hands-on approach to management.

9. Interview and hire new service personnel if/as needed to support growth.

10. Communicate with customers for scheduled service times, boarding requirements for cruise lines, changes in schedules to accommodate emergencies, and to quote projects and request purchase orders.

Qualifications:

1. Must have an extremely high level of integrity. This position is remote from headquarters, and you must lead your team by example.

2. Excellent organizational and project management skills.

3. Proven leadership ability with experience in leading and motivating teams.

4. Effective communication skills to communicate with headquarters, customers, and internal teams.

5. Strong electrical and mechanical background preferred.

6. Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

7. Previous experience in a similar role within the service industry is advantageous.

8. Microsoft Project experience, Gantt Chart experience, and other project management software utilization skills are preferred.

9. Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

10. Valid driver’s license and authorized to work in the US.
