Job Summary We are looking for a Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer relationship skills, strong service writer capabilities, and previous management experience. Welcome to Velocity Automotive, a Meineke franchise owner. Were looking to expand! Our shops are open Monday through Friday 7:30AM 6PM, leaving your weekends free to enjoy. We pay our Service Advisors a competitive pay depending on experience and knowledge. This position requires the ability to kindly greet customers, listen to their description of the vehicle problems or service needed, take detailed notes for the technicians, determine the type of service required and prepare repair orders. If a vehicle requires additional repairs not covered in the original order, they estimate the additional cost and telephone the customer for permission to do the work. They also advise customers on other available services. Qualifications
3 years of experience in a sales manager or general manager position in the Automotive industry
Knowledge in automotive industry and trends
Strong communication skills
Positive attitude
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Valid drivers license
Responsibilities
List description of the customers concern on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem(s). Helps identify a mechanical problem(s) by listening to the customer and asking appropriate questions to further understand.
Handles customer complaints politely and in a professional curtious manner. Explains the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer.
Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts to customers.
Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
Maintains a professional appearance and maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
Responsible for shop flow and direction
High school diploma or GED required bachelors degree preferred
Valid state-issued drivers license and clean driving record are required
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and background screening
At least two years of experience as an automotive service writer or service advisor is required. Experience as an automotive service manager is preferred
Deep understanding of automotive technology, automotive service technician job duties, and automotive repair services is required
