This position will assist in the Operations department with the goal of learning the transportation industry from various department perspectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter customer and load information into AS400
• Provide proof of delivery documents to customers
• Provide load track & trace information to Territory Account Managers, Inside Sales and customers.
• Become familiar with sales/operations territories, freight and load configurations, and the basics of balancing productivity and profitability in load selection.
• Help maintain and update our Dynamics CRM with current customer information.
• Identify load opportunities on various customer TMS (transportation management systems)
• Research, prospect, and organize potential customer leads for our inside and outside sales team.
• Learn the rate quote process and assist with quoting lanes, proposals, and new customer contracts.
• Update shipper and consignee information in our system to give our drivers the most accurate pick up and drop off locations.
• Learn the basics of driver/DOT rules and regulations and how that plays into load selection and dispatch time.
• Assist the Operations team with special projects, as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Pursuing a degree in business or related field. Customer service experience or training is beneficial.

Special Training: Computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and Word required.
