Entry Level Accounting Clerk

PMG Travel Plaza, LLC. dba Davis Travel Center in Stony Creek, Virginia is looking for a detail-oriented, entry level Accounting Clerk/ Administrative Assistant who is accountable and accurate to join our team. You will be responsible for executing all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards. You will always maintain the integrity of the company by keeping all information confidential. If you are a self-motivated person that can work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, come be part of our admin team. This will be a Full-time position with full benefit package including insurance, 401K with match, and paid time off. The successful candidate will work from the corporate office of PMG Travel Plaza, LLC. (Davis Travel Centers) which is located at 11042 Blue Star Highway in Stony Creek, VA. The office is open Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The successful candidate will be required to work between those hours for a total of 35 to 40 hours each week. This is an hourly paid, non-exempt position. We offer competitive compensation relative to your experience.

Position Responsibilities

• Audit business unit daily paperwork to amounts recorded.
• Post data to excel and reconcile to credit card balances.
• Respond to communications from credit card processors.
• Receiving visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
• Answering, screening, and forwarding incoming phone calls using multi-line phone system
• Respond to queries and complaints via phone, email, and general correspondence in a professional and courteous manner.
• Communicate with store managers and supervisors regarding store reporting.
• Communicate with office coworkers for tasks.
• Keeps common areas in kitchen and copy/file room clean and organized.
• Assist with postal mail as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills are vital in this position
• Exceptional multitasker with great time management
• Proficient computer skills required (specifically Microsoft suite)
• Experience with accounting software
• Accurate data entry skills
• Bookkeeping
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
