Memorial Health is Hiring an Outpatient Practice Manager | Internal Medicine Near Marysville, OH

  • Provides leadership to the practice physicians, APP’s and staff; responsible for the overall operations of the practice; supervises the effective and efficient operation of the practice; develops and implements consistent guidelines/policies for the practice, in conjunction with MMG administration; prioritizes work activities and evaluates effectiveness of procedures/processes; develops and implements short and long term work plans to facilitate success and growth of the practice/service line. Identifies and evaluates opportunities for service line development. Serves as outreach lead for new initiatives and providers. Collaborates with internal departments to promote continuity and positive outcomes. Establishes practice hours and ensures proper staffing and optimal patient care flow utilizing the electronic medical records system. Enters tickets for updates to the EMR system based on practice needs. Serves as EMR knowledge resource for practice staff and providers. Creates and reviews routine reports to evaluate operations and opportunities.
  • Develops current staff; assigns and trains staff; plans, organizes and manages the functions of the practice; directs, monitors and schedules staff; evaluates and monitors performance and ensures competencies are completed, reviews and makes decisions regarding leave requests; initiates and implements disciplinary action as needed; oversees and promotes the recruitment and retention of qualified staff; completes time sheets; completes probationary and annual merit evaluations of staff; Proactively evaluates process failures and implements changes; promotes an environment conducive to productivity and employee retention; ensures staff training and education necessary for success; effectively coaches and counsels staff providing feedback on performance; solicits input from staff and addresses employee concerns; monitors resources (ie. equipment, manpower, supplies, etc.) and takes appropriate action
  • Oversees front end billing workflow of physician practice, including management of EMR related work queues to monitor error and edits that require intervention. Works with MMG Administration to implement and achieve Compliance, Quality, and Service goals
  • Works in staffing for coverage of areas in need as necessary. Provides back-up and start-up assistance with other physician practices within MMG. May occasionally need to work as interim practice manager and/or assist with onboarding of new managers of other practices within the corporation. Works collaboratively with the other physician practices to ensure continuity among the corporation.
  • Works with the Director of Physician Practices to develop an office budget and manages the office within that budget.
  • Respects and promotes patient rights in all training and meeting activities, which includes travel between offices.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

  • Attends all mandatory education and in-services (i.e., team training, safety, infection control, etc.); completes mandatory health requirements.
  • Employee performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s and department’s Ethics and Compliance program and is responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer, or the hospital hotline.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

RequirementsHigh school diploma. Three to five years experience in a supervisory role or three to five years in a healthcare environment; preferably a physician office setting. Knowledge of billing functions of a medical office is preferred.
