Job Summary And QualificationsThe Outpatient Therapy Office Coordinator, provides administrative support to the therapy department under the direct supervision of the Therapy Manager. You will coordinate communication between patients and staff and perform reception duties while overseeing various clerical responsibilities. The office coordinator has knowledge of general office procedures and departmental/hospital policies and procedures. You will need the ability to clearly present data and information verbally and in writing.

Job Summary And QualificationsThe Outpatient Therapy Office Coordinator, provides administrative support to the therapy department under the direct supervision of the Therapy Manager. You will coordinate communication between patients and staff and perform reception duties while overseeing various clerical responsibilities. The office coordinator has knowledge of general office procedures and departmental/hospital policies and procedures. You will need the ability to clearly present data and information verbally and in writing.
What you will do in this role:
- You must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- You will assist in insuring smooth operation of the outpatient therapy department at all times while exhibiting tact and diplomacy in all interactions
- You will maintain all administrative files; assist in coordination and maintenance of all records to insure compliance with all Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements and standards.
- You will schedule patients for therapy
- You will assist in pre-authorizations
- You will, with great discretion and judgement, answer the telephone, screen visitors, respond to inquiries and relay information appropriately and timely.
- A High School Diploma is required
- Previous medical office experience required
