The essential job responsibilities of the Substation Project Coordinator are to coordinate, schedule and assign work to areas, maintain/ manage capital and maintenance project budget, set project timelines, and provide status updates for all major capital and maintenance substation pots. Serve as liaison with Division Managers and Supervisors in support of the Electric Substation Engineering and Operations.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform the Substation Project Coordinator role, you must: -Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering. -Must have a combination of 6 years engineering experience in project management, electric distribution, substation/ transmission, and Division budget experience. -Must be a certified Professional Engineer in the State of TN. -Must successfully complete NERC and NIMS Training within one year of entering the job. -Must have an occupationally significant combination of: in-depth working job knowledge of substation construction and maintenance and the Capital Budgetary process; excellent communication (verbal/ written), proven analytical, problem-solving, decision making, leadership, customer relations, and resource management skills; a high level of integrity; abilities in working as a team and promoting safety work practices; facility with numbers to prepare/ review financial/ statistical reports; and flexibility to adjust to changing conditions. -Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence.
Physical Working Conditions: Works in office majority of the time, field site inspections are performed as needed.
