About the Role
As an Operations Program Manager at Mendel, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and streamline our internal ML data labeling / annotation operations based in US & Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of efficient processes and frameworks to ensure high-quality labeled data for our AI models. Your role is integral to improving the quality and efficiency of the data labeling output. You will also partner with key stakeholders, including the Data Annotation Team, Engineering, and AI, to align on standards and priorities.
You Will:
- Streamline Mendel's internal data labeling operations process, focus on improving the quality and efficiency of the output of the ML Data Annotation Team.
- Develop and implement robust data labeling frameworks, procedures, and quality standards to increase efficiency and improve the accuracy of labeled data.
- Regularly monitor, analyze, and report on data labeling operations performance using relevant KPIs, and propose solutions for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including the Data Annotation Team, Engineering, and AI teams, to ensure alignment on data requirements, standards, and priorities.
- Implement strict quality assurance mechanisms, continually improving the reliability and usefulness of labeled data for our AI models.
- Cultivate a strong data labeling team through effective management and professional development opportunities.
You Have:
- 7 years of experience in program management, preferably in data labeling or similar operations.
- Proven experience in leading, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and efficiencies in a data labeling or similar environment.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools, such as SQL, and in handling various data formats.
- Deep understanding of data privacy and security regulations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the field of AI or machine learning, particularly in a data labeling capacity.
- Experience in industries with Data Labeling Operations at Scale (Ex: Autonomous Vehicle, Mapping, GIS etc)
Compensation
$175,000 - $200,000
