Mennenga Tax & Financial is an upbeat, well-respected tax and financial firm located on Madison's east side. We're currently looking for a rockstar Tax Manager to join our team!
In this role, you'll oversee all aspects of the Tax Department, including:
- Keeping current with tax law and training staff
- Training and educating staff
- Setting up tax software for all advisors
- Traveling to seminars
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
- Completing 250-300 tax returns
- Strategizing with clients to minimize their tax liability
- Planning for future tax years
- Completing general accounting tasks as needed
- Answering client questions
- Overseeing all aspects of tax season
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A positive attitude and a team-oriented spirit
- Experience using Drake Tax Software
- The ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
- Experience in business, trusts, and estates is a plus
- At least 2 years of experience in tax preparation
