We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in the Salisbury, MD location. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Duties:

- Perform vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate

- Administer medications or vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers

- Assist with patient examinations and procedures

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

-Process documents and scan into patient charts in our EMR system

- Provide patient education on various health topics

- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and well-stocked

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care delivery

Requirements:

- Valid certification as a Medical Assistant

- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology

- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on compassion and empathy

- Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records

- Familiarity with electronic health record systems ie: Athena

- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

- Basic life support certification preferred

- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus

-Bilingual Candidate preferred but not required (English a must, ideal Spanish speaker)
