Join our team as the Outreach & Rapid Response Coordinator, where you'll make a tangible difference in the lives of chronically homeless individuals in our community. Operating from a virtual mobile office on the streets, you will focus on engaging those who are often overlooked, including recently incarcerated individuals. Your primary mission will be in the downtown area, encampments, and other homeless gathering spots, working closely with family, shelters, law enforcement, and outreach managers.
In this role, you will:
Build relationships with chronically homeless individuals, focusing on those recently incarcerated
Operate from a virtual mobile office, primarily in downtown areas, encampments, and homeless gathering spots
Collaborate continuously with family, shelters, outreach managers, and law enforcement
Ensure individuals are on housing priority lists and receive necessary services
Facilitate multi-organizational efforts for collective impact interventions
Integrate with disaster response entities to enhance recovery efforts
Provide "warm handoff" to other care systems for ongoing stability
The ideal candidate will:
Be adaptable and available for work hours between 7:30am-6:00pm, M-F, with schedules varying slightly based on weekly events.
Possess a minimum of a HS Diploma or GED
Be comfortable working with vulnerable populations
Demonstrate proficiency in using computers, phones, and office software
Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Manage a high volume of calls while handling front desk duties
Monday - Friday Be adaptable and available for work hours between 7:30am-6:00pm, M-F, with schedules varying slightly based on weekly events.
