The Program Coordinator will oversee and manage The Resource Center (TRC), a day service program for survivors of acquired brain injury or other significant medical conditions. This role encompasses planning, coordinating, and implementing a variety of programs, activities, and events that align with organizational goals and participant needs. The coordinator will maintain high standards of confidentiality, advocacy, and teamwork to foster a positive and inclusive environment. Responsibilities include ensuring program operations adhere to organizational mission, leadership objectives, funding requirements, and applicable regulations, while delivering high-quality services to participants.
Essential Responsibilities
Required Education and Experience
- Master’s or bachelor’sdegree with at least 5 years of experience working with disadvantaged populations, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience with day service and activity programming is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with individuals affected by brain injury, psychiatric diagnoses, developmental disabilities, trauma, substance use, and/or homelessness is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication, computer use, and organizational tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and function as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and adaptable to the changing needs of program participants.
- Valid driver’s license, adequate automobile insurance, an acceptable driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle during working hours.
- Ability to maintain all core competency and required training.
Physical Demands
The role requires frequent verbal communication and hearing. It also involves prolonged periods of sitting, along with frequent use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, and writing. Occasionally, the employee may need to kneel and/or climb stairs. Employee must be able to utilize lifts and machinery associated with providing personal care to those we support. Vision requirements include color distinction, visual inspection, visual perception, and hand-eye coordination.
