ROLE SUMMARY

As a Tenant Liaison Associate with a focus on mental health at Mental Wellness Center, you play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and inclusive living environment for tenants diagnosed with mental health conditions. This involves providing emotional support, collaborating with mental health professionals, and ensuring effective communication between tenants, property management, and relevant stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Tenant Support:

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with tenants diagnosed with mental health conditions.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to tenants, promoting a sense of community and belonging.

Needs Assessment:

  • Conduct individual assessments to identify specific needs and challenges faced by tenants with mental health diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals to understand treatment plans and incorporate support strategies into daily interactions.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Serve as a liaison between tenants, property management, internal program staff, mental health providers, and community resources.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to tenant well-being.

Specific Duties:

  • Act as a liaison between tenants, property management, internal program staff, mental health providers, and community resources.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to tenants, fostering a positive community atmosphere.
  • Assist tenants in navigating resources, including referrals and paperwork for benefits, demonstrating a compassionate problem-solving mindset.
  • Support tenants in accessing mental healthcare, collaborating with treatment teams and intervening when access issues arise.
  • Attending and facilitating meetings related to tenant progress and challenges, ensuring effective communication.
  • Observe and report important information to providers, coordinating services for tenants as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of significant interactions, interventions, and outcomes, prioritizing professional conduct and confidentiality.
  • Document incidents involving tenants for ongoing tracking and planning, intervening when necessary.
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention and behavioral plans tailored to tenants' needs, emphasizing housing-related issues.
  • Coordinate care needs with emergency services and mental health professionals, assessing risks and intervening for safety and wellness.
  • Organize community activities and events to foster a sense of belonging and purpose among tenants.
  • Encourage social interactions and activities promoting mental wellness to combat isolation among tenants.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or similar) or equivalent relevant experience. Master's degree, preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in mental health or supportive housing settings.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health issues and recovery processes.
  • Completion of any necessary state or organization-specific training programs.
  • Willingness to attend ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Commitment to working on-site to effectively engage with the organization’s workforce.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid CA Driver License and reliable form of transportation required.
  • MWC requires proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 and highly encourages staying up to date.

· Bilingual Literacy in Spanish and English is preferred, not required.

SALARY

The hourly base pay range for this role is between $24.00 - $31.30.
