We are currently seeking a Site Survey Technician to join our Team in Colorado Springs, Colorado
The Site Survey Technician assists with the installation process by conducting physical site assessments and recording site specifics.
The Site Survey Technician assists with the installation process by conducting physical site assessments and recording site specifics and using a vehicle to take permits around to the different utility headquarters needed for approval.
Travel to site locations and conduct physical site assessments
Take photos of interior electrical panels, attic entrance, overall attic space, roof rafter depth and spacing, exterior electrical panels, utility meters, and all other electrical panels, disconnects, or transfer switches
Verify if any loads are available or not being used by the homeowner
Determine overall roof condition
Measure the perimeter of roof faces and prepare quick sketches of roof faces with directional (North, South, East, West) labels
Upload site survey analysis, collected data, and photos of work performed each day
Complete paper and digital site assessment sheets
Assist the Permitting Representatives and Specialist on the permitting process.
Work directly with the Permitting Dispatcher daily on the assigned route.
Record and understand technical corrections as it pertains to permitting.
Work constructively and effectively with various jurisdictions.
Run permit packages on a daily basis, fill out applications as needed.
Drop off and Pick up of NOC forms.
Valid driver’s license
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring, and work ladders
Intermediate proficiency in general computer skills (uploading files, email, etc)
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Permitting experience or fast learner willing to learn on the job
Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Positive and upbeat attitude
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to plan and organize efficiently
Customer-service oriented
The Site Survey Technician works in outdoor conditions with focused locations on roofs and in attics. This position has extended periods of standing; and the day to day responsibilities require repeated crouching, climbing, kneeling, pulling/pushing more than 10 lbs, squatting, and reaching above the shoulders.
