Body in White refers to the stage in automobilemanufacturing where the frame of the van and the body are welded together. The Body is most of what you see when you look atthe vehicle.Once robotshave placed the parts into the framing station, the components are joinedtogether through precision welding
The Body in White (BIW) department currently hiringfor 3 positions:

• Body Shop Operator 1
• Body Shop Operator 2
• Body Shop Operator 3

Theposition for each candidate will be based on skills, knowledge, experience, andbusiness needs.
Responsibilities may include:

• Machine feeding, set ups,operation of automated and robotic welding machines
• Monitor and set up machinery foroptimal performance
• Sanding, grinding and deburringof metals
• Work with hand, power, andpneumatic tools
• Perform quality and visualinspection of final welds
• Assemble and fabricate metalstructure according to work specifications
• Read and interpret diagrams andblueprints of the process
• Efficiently and safely loadmachines with required parts and identify any issues that arise
• Participate in the ContinuousImprovement Program

Qualifikationen BodyShop Operator 1 - Minimum Requirements

• High SchoolDiploma or GED strongly preferred
• 1 years relevant manufacturingexperience or Lean Manufacturing certificate preferred
• Must successfullypass assessment testing
• Prefer knowledgeof welding, gluing, metal finish, ultrasonic weld inspection, weld destruct,hydraulic, pneumatic, metal processing or data processing
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions
• Willing to complete a drug screen, backgroundcheck, and pre-placement medical exam
• Willing to work overtime

BodyShop Operator 2 - Additional to Body Shop Operator 1

• Required: 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience; OR Relevant certificate and 1 years of relevant experience
• Preferred: 3 yearsof relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate and 2 years of relevantexperience
• Knowledge ofwelding, gluing, metal finish, ultrasonic weld inspection, weld destruct,hydraulic, pneumatic, metal processing or data processing

BodyShop Operator 3 - Additional to Body Shop Operator 2

• Required: 4 yearsrelevant experience; OR Relevant certificate 3 years relevant experience; ORRelevant associates degree 1 year relevant experience
• Preferred: 5 years relevant experience; OR Relevant certificate 4 years relevantexperience; OR Relevant assoc. degree 2 years relevant experience
• History of strongproblem solving and leadership skills
• Greatcommunication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledgeof robotics (Kuka), PLC, welding, gluing, metal finish, ultrasonic weldinspection, weld destruct, hydraulic, pneumatic, metal processing or dataprocessing
