Mercy House provides dignified housing and comprehensive supportive services to a wide variety of homeless subpopulations including, but not limited to, adult men and women, families, mothers and their children, veterans, chronically homeless individuals, persons living with HIV/AIDS, individuals overcoming substance addictions, and those who are both physically and/or mentally disabled.

Our Goal is Simple: To end the cycle of homelessness of those who enter our system of care.

Introduction: The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for overseeing giving from individuals at levels of $5,000 or greater. The emphasis of this position is on managing the identification, solicitation, and stewardship of higher level donors as well as supporting other fundraising efforts. The Individual Giving Manager will report directly to the Development Director.

This role has the potential to be partially hybrid with 1-2 work from home days, but can require flexible schedule for fundraising events, donor meetings, and other miscellaneous events. The salary range for this role is $70,000-$72,800 a year.

I. Essential Responsibilities

· Identify, cultivate and steward individual donor relationships.

· Maintain a major gifts portfolio and regularly solicit major gifts.

· Strategically manage donor relationships and frequently meet with individual donors.

· Prioritize donor engagement and maintain Mercy House’s donor stewardship practices through emails, handwritten thank you notes, phone calls, donor meetings, etc.

· Work closely with Development Data Analyst to keep donor records up to date

· Plan and execute the donor appreciation events and events to cultivate and identify new prospects.

· Support and manage the Development Director and CEO’s stewardship and solicitation of donors.

· Support Mercy House’s annual giving in collaboration with the Development Manager as well as the two large fundraising events, our Annual Golf Tournament and Spring Gala

II. Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or relevant degree with 3 years’ experience in fundraising or marketing

· Strong customer service skills, positive and enthusiastic attitude required

· Must have knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT or comparable CRM

· Must be a confident representative for Mercy House with strong written and verbal communication skills

· Must have cursory knowledge of the issue of homelessness

· Ability to use time, money, technology, and people efficiently and effectively

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,300.00 per year
