The Plastic and Reconstructive Medical Assistant plays a vital role in the day to day operations of the practice to ensure efficient patient care. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, communication, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

The following duties fall under the responsibility of the Medical Assistant but are not limited to:

* Rooming patients and obtaining vitals

* Entering patient information into electronic medical record (EMR)

* Setting up and assisting with office procedures

* Chaperone providers during patient examination

* Taking pre-op and post-op photos of patients

* Maintaining surgical instruments and transporting instruments to Central Sterile (CSS)

* Processing surgical specimens and transporting them to Pathology

* Maintaining and stocking exam rooms

* ordering clinical supplies

* Completing FMLA and Disability forms

* Cleaning and resetting exam rooms

* Travel to satellite locations as needed

Requirements

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

* Education and Work Experience:

* High School Diploma or GED

* A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic

* CPR-preferred

* Medical Assistant Certification- preferred

* Epic (if applicable to position)

* Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.

* Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.

* Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.

* Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
