SummaryAre you a nursing school student graduating in May or December 2025? Join us for a unique clinical immersion experience for student nurses to enhance nursing skills and gain additional exposure to clinical healthcare specialties. As a Magnet™ Designated organization, participants will receive top notch instruction and guidance for their future success as a Registered Nurse. Students will have the opportunity to participate in share time on a unit of interest with the options of Telemetry, Inpatient Specialty Surgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Progressive Care/Stroke, ICU, Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, NICU, Operating Room, Emergency Department, and the PACU.
ResponsibilitiesParticipants can expect:
  • Hands on skills practice
  • Individualized learning assessments and plans
  • Mentoring by experienced Mercy nurses
  • Fun networking activities with cohort participants and Mercy nurses
  • Access to Nurse Educators
  • Career pathway assistance
  • Opportunity to explore future nursing employment at Mercy
We will be holding two cohorts in January 2025. The first is January 6th - 10th and the second is January 13th - 17th.
Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in Nursing School with an expected graduation date in 2025.
  • A valid CNA license is required by the beginning of the program.
  • BLS CPR required.
