Mercy Clinic Family Medicine is seeking a full-time (40 hours a week) Medical Receptionist/Patient Service Rep to join our team.

Overview:

Responsible for all phases of authorization and pre-certification of managed care patients. Provides updates to patients/offices regarding authorization status. Utilizes medical knowledge when responding to payer queries. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values , and Mercy service standards.

• Clinic Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5:00pm

Qualifications:

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: At least one year experience in medical clinic setting.
• Other: Knowledge of CPT, HCPCs and ICD-9 Coding. Knowledge of medical terminology.
