Location: Lake City, FL
Salary: $44.10 |Hr. | Non-Exempt

Meridian Behavioral Health is a private, non -profit organization with roots in the mental health community since the 1960’s. Since that time, we’ve expanded to 13 counties in North Central Florida. We us a multidisciplinary approach to treating to those facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders.

  • Perform initial physical assessments and performs ongoing re-assessment.
  • Initiates Treatment Plan and Nursing Care Plan.
  • Provides client, family/significant other, education and discharge preparation as appropriate.
  • Initiates, verifies, and carries out physician orders transcribing to the Medication Administration Record as appropriate.
  • Assumes leadership role in crisis or emergency situations.
  • Works with Nurse Manager and HR Staffing to provide appropriate staffing based on census and acuity.
  • Identifies clients at risk for self-harm or harm to others and institutes appropriate measures to reduce risk.

Who are we looking for?

  • Clear/Active license to practice as an RN in the State of Florida.
  • Experience in an inpatient psychiatric unit is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience with Mental Health population, Crisis Units, Substance use, Corrections or psych settings is preferred.
  • Experience must be met while utilizing respective license.
