Position Title: Mental Health First Aid Coordinator

Department: Prevention

Reports to: Director of Prevention

Salary Range: $54,075/yr

health community since the 1960's. Since that time, we've expanded to 13 counties in

North Central Florida. We use a multidisciplinary approach to treating to those facing

mental health challenges and substance use disorders.

• Coordinate and schedule MHFA trainings throughout a regional geographic area.
• Attend community meetings with our MHFA partner agencies.
• Facilitate MHFA trainings as a certified instructor.
• Serve as the lead instructor for the Meridian MHAT Grant.
• Coordinate MHFA staff schedules to arrange having an instructor at every scheduled course.
• Serve at the primary backup for all MHFA trainings.
• Conduct follow up surveys with MHFA participants for MHAT data collection.
• Coordinate with Prevention Assistant the data management for the MHAT grant.
• Submit reports to the Vice President for the MHAT grant.
• Perform other duties as required to meet program and departmental goals and objectives.

Who are we looking for?

- Minimum of a bachelor degree in psychology, social work, or related field. Master degree preferred.

- At least 2 years of progressively responsible administrative and management tasks preferably dealing with the public or collaborative role.

- Experience in a non-profit environment a plus.

- Experience in program facilitation, training, and/or teaching.

- Preferred fluent in Spanish Speaking.

- Preferred certification as a MHFA Instructor or required to gain certification within two months of hire.

- The ideal candidate is comfortable teaching both in-person and online, and adapts well to a changing environment.

Drivers Requirement:

Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements.

In order to qualify as a Center Driver, the candidate must at least 21 years of age and have an active Florida Driver's license. Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed for eligibility. No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents within the past 3 years and no major violations during the past 5 years. Drivers over 65 years old must provide a current doctor's note stating they have no driving limitations.
