Meridian Mechanical Services, LLC. is currently looking to fill a position within our team. Meridian currently manages all types of Commercial HVAC/R, Plumbing, Gas and Pipe service work. We are looking for a team member who is well versed in Sheetmetal mechanics. This position will report to specific job sites in and around Central, East, and West Florida as required.
Sheetmetal Job Responsibilities:

• Install, HVAC mechanical systems, and equipment in commercial structures.
• Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
• Follow building plans and specifications.
• Ability to review and identify required materials to complete specific tasks
• Understanding of OSHA requirements and processes
• Enforce safety procedures
• Train and mentor new employees

Sheetmetal Qualifications / Skills:

• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the Sheetmetal trade
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
• Familiarity with general Sheetmetal practices and SMACNA
• Effective communication and personable skills
• Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
• Ability to manage field personnel
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead crews to complete tasks in line with project schedule

Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
1-3 Years’ Experience In The Sheetmetal Trade (preferred)Valid driver’s license and transportation
Must have own tools (personal hand tools)
